I’d Rather Be Dancing started in the wings—not in a boardroom. Between sweaty warm‑ups, half-tied shoes, and whispered “you got this,” we realized our clothes never really felt like us. We wanted pieces that could survive a marathon rehearsal, a packed subway, and a 1 a.m. fries run…without screaming “merch.”

So we began making our own. From a tiny Brooklyn studio, we dream up dance‑obsessed things you can actually live in—crossbodies that don’t quit, tees that feel like your favorite thrift find, tumblers that don’t care about rosin dust, and art that turns a hallway into a little backstage corridor.

We’re here for the forever‑stretching, the former competition kids, the loud clappers in Row D, and anyone whose brain choreographs to every song in the grocery store. If moving through the world feels better than standing still, you’re our people.
